Tears of Joy

We few youths joined and formed a small social group named as “BANGALORE YOUTH SERVICE WING” with an ambition to contribute and work for a good cause. I was the president for that group.
That year was 2000 and we wanted to do some thing grand for millennium then came the idea of conducting sports event for the physically challenging children.
The idea was set and we started the event planning. Each of us taking responsibilities for different tasks.
My self and Secretary was assigned to mobilize funds and venue .
We approached industries around our area for sponsorship , we got around 20,000 cash and Kwality ice cream agreed to sponsor cup ice creams for all.
Next came the challenge of venue. We approached HAL sports club for the permission to use their sports club ground. Initially there was no response from them. However they found our intension was genuine and gave permission.
We published invitation in local news paper and also sent invitation to those schools where physically handicap children are studying. To our surprise we got application around 400 children comprising of Visually challenging, hearing and speech impaired , physical disability and mental disability.
Events were tailor made according to the condition of children participating and the entire ground was jubilant with different sports events running in entire playground.
Mean while in the pre-event planning meeting we had very clearly informed to all our volunteers who supported us for the event that the participants are very sensitive people and we need to handle them with utmost kind and care.
After the sports event each of the winners were facilitated with medal and cups. Subsequent to the awarding event every one was served with delicious food and ICE cream. We wanted to conclude the event with joyful mood so played some songs and encouraged all to dance to their joy.
Every one started dancing and the entire area was filled with joy, visual impaired was dancing by hearing the song beats, hearing impaired was dancing by seeing other and trying to match their steps, speech impaired was dancing and helping other with the steps.. those with physical and mental disability too was dancing to their ability. The spectators also joined and had their life time happiness.. THE ENTIRE GROUND WAS FILLED WITH JOY,JOY,JOY and there was high intensity of positive ENERGY.

In between in this high intensive situation I saw a visually challenging boy, may be some 10-12 years old TEARING.. I got shocked and went near him and asked politely did any one hurt him. He with smiling face said NO SIR, then I asked him why he is crying… he said no sir iam not, but I feel something very pleasant and some unique experience..
I understood that its TEAR OF JOY. He was not aware that his soul is under the influence of happiness and as any physical body would react his eyes are tearing. He would have cried all these days due to agony, sorrow and pains but since he is visually challenged he had not got that tears of joy experience … There I remembered that God is so kind to me for blessing all good health, good people, good life and also opportunity to JUSTIFY MY BIRTH.

I thanked GOD for blessing me that unique sight where no one could have witnessed this kind of “TEARS OF JOY”.
